The 'Township Fitness Challenge' coincides with the Presidential Sports Award. "The challenge of the award is to make a commitment to fitness activities. Earning this award means that you have put in time and effort to meet the challenge of personal fitness. The award recognizes this achievement and the fact that you are part of an effort towards a healthier you. Encourage your family and friends to participate in 'Township Fitness Challenge' (Presidential Sports Award, flyer, 1998)." It is easy, you only compete against yourself. Learn more about the challenge in April issue of The Citizen.

Strides is a walking club that is on going throughout the year. It is simple. Keep a record of the miles you walk, turn them into the Athletic Club, and climb the reward ladder. The more you walk, the greater the reward. STRIDE for a t-shirt, water bottle, or some other great reward. If you dare, STRIDE to be part of the 500-mile club or 1000-mile club.
